Who are we?
We as Catholics are a sacramental faith community here in Kiama, Gerringong and Jamberoo, celebrating the life-giving love and power of God, freely flowing from Jesus Christ's life, passion, death and resurrection.

In celebrating the Sacraments, signs instituted by Christ to give grace, we enable the individual Catholic to encounter the saving action of God and the salvation promised to all who believe in Jesus Christ.

The core and summit of our Catholic sacramental worship is the Eucharist (Mass). In each of our seven Sacraments, but in the Mass especially, we have a personal experience and real encounter with Jesus, the person. This encounter with Jesus is an experience of God.

For His Apostles and Disciples Jesus was the sacrament of God. For us who celebrate Jesus' presence in the Word of God, in sacred liturgy, hymns and prayers etc, this is also our experience of God. The primary experience of the presence of God is found in our encounter with Jesus through the sacramental life of the Church.

When we as Church, together or as individual members of the body of Christ, act in the spirit of Christ, we continue the saving ministry of the Lord in the world.

By loving, forgiving and by reaching out to others we become the sign and presence of God in the world, contributing to the ongoing mission of Jesus in the world.
