Ss Peter and Paul Parish First Holy Communion Program is an at-home preparation program which revolves around attendance at Mass as a member of the parish community. Parents journey with their child in preparing for First Holy Communion by taking them through their workbooks and reflection sheets at home, and then attending Mass to hand in the completed work. In this way both parent and child participate as a family in their Faith.

In order to successfully complete the program the following requirements must be met before the candidate can receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion:

  • Candidate must be in year 3 or above and have made the Sacrament of Reconciliation, or be currently enrolled in our First Reconciliation Program.

  • Attendance at a Parent Information Night (at least one parent/guardian must attend)

  • Attendance at a Commitment Mass (candidate and at least one parent/guardian)

  • Attendance at Mass to hand in the worksheets (candidate and at least one parent/guardian)

All information and dates can be downloaded by clicking on the button below. Please plan your diary accordingly. If you are unable to commit to these requirements then you are asked to wait until next year for your child to receive the sacrament.
